It should be noted that Charon, in Greek mythology, is the ferryman of Hades who transports souls of the newly deceased across the river Styx that divided the world of the living from the world of the dead. A coin, which is a recurring symbol throughout John Wick, is used to pay Charon for his services. At this point in the film series, Charon's role and proximity to the John Wick character appears as neutral, courteous and patronizing, even somewhat benevolent....
